Ivan Perisic’s Manchester United move in doubt as Inter Milan chief ‘expects him to stay’
Manchester United face a struggle to lure £48million target Ivan Perisic as Inter Milan believe their Croatia winger will stay put.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly made Perisic, 29, and Eintrach Franfurt wideman Ante Rebic, 24, his transfer priorities after they shone for the World Cup runners-up.
But Inter boss Luciano Spalletti insists Perisic – and Real Madrid target Mauro Icardi – are happy to continue their successful careers with the Serie A giants.

FourFourTwo report Spalletti as saying: “They’re exceptional professionals, reference points for our team, who have helped to determine the growth of this team’s character
“Qualifying for the Champions League has brought new stimulus.
“I’ve talked to Ivan. He’s tired. He’s resting now and then he’ll come with us [for pre-season].

“He didn’t give me any sign of wanting to leave. It’s the same with Mauro.
“It’s clear he’ll need to revise his contract but the signs are all positive. They have to stay.”
Perisic’s high boot flicked a neat but controversial leveller for Croatia in their 2-1 World Cup semi-final comeback win over England.

And his consistent, powerful team-play fits the profile Mourinho likes.
Meanwhile, Argentina ace Icardo, 25, is one of the strikers being considered by Real as they look to replace £99m Juventus new boy Cristiano Ronaldo.
